Windsor Spitfires defenceman Ryan Ellis of Freelton will start his training as early as July 6 in Nashville after being picked by the Predators in Friday’s NHL draft at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Selected 11th overall in the draft, the Ontario Hockey League’s top defenceman this past season will be adding his considerable skills to the Predators’ power play and is also expected to ramp up the team’s offensive play.
For more details about the draft and Ellis’s entry into the NHL, see this Friday’s Flamborough Review.
