
In Hamilton, the MAC 18U boys finished fourth at the 18U Boys Bugarski Cup Premier at McMaster University. Finishing third in pool play, MAC 18U moved on to the quarter-finals, where they defeated the Storm Rage 25-22, 25-14. In the semifinals, MAC fought it out with the top seed Crush and were defeated 25-23, 25-16.
In the bronze medal match MAC pushed it to a three game match losing 25-17, 23-25 and 15-7 to Toronto West.
At the 16U Boys Challenge Cup-Championship West at St. Mary’s in Hamilton, MAC 16U finished fourth overall. Advancing as the second seed in their pool, MAC 16U defeated the Waterloo Tigers Black 14-25, 25-23,15-13 in the quarter-finals and lost to the eventual tournament champions Pakmen 25-21, 25-20 in the semifinals.
Facing the Riverside Rage in the bronze medal match, MAC 16U lost a close 25-21, 25-20 game.
The MAC 16U team is coached by Parrish Offer of Hamilton. The MAC 16U roster includes Spencer Timms of Waterdown.
The MAC 15U Boys played up an age division in this tournament finishing seventh overall.
Finishing first in their pool, MAC 15U were defeated by Interclub 26-24, 24-26, 14-16 in the quarter-finals and the KW Predators 25-16, 25-16.
The MAC 15U team is coached by Paul Guagliano and Mark Wu. The roster includes Josh Searle of Campbellville.
At the 18U Boys Bugarski Cup Championship in Bowmanville, the MAC 17U Boys played up an age division and won the silver medal. Advancing through pool play, MAC 17U defeated the Sudbury Staxx 26-24, 25-21 in the semifinals. The Waterloo Tigers came out on top with a 25-13, 25-20 win over MAC 17U in the gold medal match.
The MAC 17U team is coached by Chris Marynowicz of Hamilton Mountain, Derek Jones of Burlington and Jeff Hargot of Stoney Creek. The MAC 17U team roster includes Derek Lahaie of Waterdown.
The MAC 16U Girls won the bronze medal at the 16U Girls Challenge Cup-Zone A in Burlington. MAC 16U finished first in their pool.
In the re-pool games, MAC 16U defeated the Halton Hurricanes Blue 25-15, 21-25, 15-7.
In the quarter-final, MAC was upset by the Brant Tornadoes 25-27, 27-25, 12-15. In the bronze medal match, MAC 16U defeated the Brock Volleyball Club 21-25, 25-21,15-13.
The MAC 16U team is coached by Meghan Boyle and Geoff Reiner of Ancaster.
The MAC 18U Girls won the bronze medal at the 18U Girls Bugarski Cup Championship West in London.
Finishing second in their pool, MAC 18U moved into the playoffs where they defeated Interclub 25-16, 25-16 and the Ottawa Maverick Stampede 25-18, 25-16.
In the semifinals, Halton Hurricanes won 25-20, 23-25, 14-16. MAC 18U were awarded the bronze medal as Northern Chill had multiple athlete injuries, and the match was not played.
The MAC 18U team is coached by Denis Levesque of Hamilton, Jenn Eccles of Burlington and Mike Fuchs of Glanbrook. The team roster includes Kathryn Toner of Carlisle.
